Giving to Others


  • SOCK-TOBER 2023

    Jacqui Ewing, Cheeky the spokes-monkey, and Hope raised $1,000 and gave 712 pairs of socks to the Trinity Center for the Homeless in Walnut Creek. 


  • SCHOOL KITS 2023

    Priscilla Mah led the campaign at Hope to donate 160 School Kits to Lutheran World Relief, to be distributed to our neighbors all over the world. 

    Each kit includes:

    a 70-sheet spiral notebook, a 30-centimeter ruler, a pencil sharpener, safety scissors, #2 pencils with erasers, black or blue ballpoint pens, a box of 16 or 24 crayons, and a 2-1/2 inch eraser.


  • Endowment Fund

    Where The Endowment Stands Now

    The current balance in the Endowment Fund is $74,929. Annually, a portion of the interest earned in the prior year is donated to charities approved by the Endowment Committee. Since 2018, $11,800 has been donated. 


    In 2023, the Endowment donated:

    • $1,000 to ELCA Good Gifts
    • $1,000 to the Rossmoor Scholarship Foundation
    • $1,000 to the Rossmoor Assistance Fund


  • PLTS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

    Thanks to the tremendous generosity of Hope Lutheran members, we donated $50,000 to PLTS for the creation of a scholarship fund.
