Giving to Others


  • SOCK-TOBER 2025

    Jacqui Ewing, "Cheeky" the spokes-monkey, and Hope raised $1,270 plus socks during the campaign. This enabled Hope to give over 1200 pairs of socks to the Trinity Center to be distributed to the unhoused in Walnut Creek (The final sock count is still being determined).

    60th ANNIVERSARY JUBILEE

    2025 saw Hope's Diamond Jubilee Year Celebration, raising $3,955 with our “Looking Ahead” offerings to nurture the next 60 years of Hope, supporting the preservation of our music program, and solidifying our financial future.

  • MEALS ON WHEELS Diablo Region

    Hope donated $1, 040 to Meals on Wheels Diablo Region in June 2025. For more than 50 years, Meals on Wheels Diablo Region has improved the lives of vulnerable seniors living in Contra Costa County by delivering nutritious meals and supportive services that allow seniors to remain in their homes, safely and with dignity.


  • ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE

    Where the Endowment Stands Now

    The current balance in the Endowment Fund is $87,280.  Annually, a portion of the interest earned in the prior year is donated to charities approved by the Endowment Committee. In 2024, $3,300 was distributed. The total amount given to charities since 2019 is $14,100.

     

    In 2024, the Endowment donated:

    .  $1,100 to the Rossmoor Scholarship Fund

    .  $1,100 to the Rossmoor Foundation

    .  $1,100 to the ELCA Sierra Pacific Synod

  • L.A. FIRE RELIEF

    For over 3 weeks in January 2025, a series of 14 destructive wildfires affected the Los Angeles metropolitan area and San Diego County, taking hundreds of lives, forcing more than 200,000 people to evacuate, and destroying more than 18,000 homes and structures, burning over 57,529 acres of land in total. 

    Through a special offering, in February, 2025, Hope raised and donated $3,030 to the L.A. Fires relief efforts.
